Capt James Cook

Born 27 October 1728, James Cook was one of the first europeans to our wonderful shores of Aotearoa in 1769. I was asked to do this to represent some of the europeans that reached our shores. He was a great mapmaker, and is holding what could very well be the first copy of a map of New Zealand. He was killed in Hawaii some 10 years after he came to NZ. He died on Feburary 14 1779.
